European Investment Conference: California Tech Showcase [kwiqq]

There has been a lot of talk about not enough investment initiatives in Europe to bring American and European startups together. Obviously there was seedcamp although it was aimed at early stage young entrepreneurs.

Another initiative funded by various VCs like EuroStart Capital Partners and Invest in Western France  is California Tech Showcase 08 starts on 4th June 2008.

The conference consists of:

“36 selected US high tech and clean tech companies were able to establish profitable contacts with over 400 European clients. The participation of numerous top executives and dignitaries attracted over 50 journalists from the international press and made it a very visible event.”

This year though the conference has been broadened and companies all around the world were allowed to pitch. We are glad that Kwiqq was selected as one of the Internet and Service companies to showcase our technology.

Apart from the visibility and other benefits I can forsee for Kwiqq, I must mention that the organisers of the event have been extremely helpful. They have gone beyond the usual to welcome companies to La Baule. I will be twittering and updating everyone as to how I get on. I’m excited about the conference.
