Building home-made iPhone: Goes Wrong ! from Raj Anand on Vimeo.
The video indicates the need of a real iPhone. I have a Vodafone contract which doesn’t expire for another 6 months. Frustrated with the situation I thought I’ll make my own iPhone using my Sony Ericsson phone. Although as expected it went horribly wrong. See video. There is also a YouTube video. Enjoy ! ( Kids please don’t try this at home )
