*Shocking* Mumbai terrorist wearing a hindu wrist band

Posted on | November 29, 2008 | View Comments

I was closely examining the pictures of the terrorists on boston big picture and was surprised to notice that one of the terrorist was wearing a hindu wrist band:

Mumbai Terrorist with a hindu wrist band by you.

Typical you would get one of these from a temple, during a festival or an important occassion. The string has several names one of which is nada chhadi. Some examples:

Is this a disguise ? I don’t want to speculate anything at this point.. I will leave for you to make up your own mind, either way this is very surprising !

Muslims visiting the Chisti Darga in Ajmer wear the same. A united front to kill this cancer is a must, not poiting wherther they were Hindus or Muslims. Sahil, London

Thanks for your thoughts Sahil. The main motivation for the image is to point out that we should NOT target/speculate involvement of any religion or nation without concrete evidence.

I agree with you Raj. I noticed the the saffron band myself when I read the Boston blog yesterday. It’s been frustrating to watch our media coverage on NDTV et al. Raj Thakrey’s puppets blaming overcrowding and migration to Bombay was the cause of this attack has been a welcome comical break. Which planet do these people hail from?

Whatever happened in Mumbai will happen again somewhere sometimes in some part of India unless we sanitize our backyard,i.e.,our politicians and corrupt officials.

    Hey Raj,

This is for the time I’ve visited your blog. Good to see that you’re talking about interesting stuff :)

Regarding the ‘band’ I’d say that We’re not sure about what is there in the minds of these terrorists. They might one to be-fool the authorities on the basis of religion.

OTOH, as Sahil pointed could be one from the dargahs.

The bottom line is that terrorists do not have any religion.

  • Vibhu

His name is Azam Amir Kasav, he is 21 years old, speaks fluent English, hails from tehsil Gipalpura in Faridkot in Pakistan.

Vibhu your so called “source” also dont have any “authentic” source of this story its just like that any one only change Azam Amir Kasav to Vibhu or asir and publish it, first of all indian media was saying that faridkot is in multan but there is no place in multan named faridkot now they are making other stories on their own I think we should stop this blamegame and let investigations complete

We are human beings not flies that any one is allowed to kill us and we just remain silent. No one has right to kill any human being belonging to any region or religion. I am Muslim but respect a Hindu, Sikh, Jew, Christian etc. as our Holy Book Quran was sent for the universe and specially humans. No matter what that terrorist was wearing, he killed many innocents and deserves punishment. I am not ISI and you are not RAW, KGB, Mossad, Khad, CIA. Just feel as we all are victims of this terror. These people were 1st used to drive out USSR (Russia) from Afghanistan and are now being used to de-stablise sub-continent’s peace and progress. May ALLAH keep every human safe and happy. Ameen.

The terrorists were also reported to have been drinking beer before their killing spree:

    Also…

Apparently white men among the killers:
“They did not look Indian, they looked foreign. One of them, I thought, had blonde hair. The other had a punkish hairstyle. They were neatly dressed,” says Mr Amir.

“I went into the building late last night,” he said. “I got a shock because they were white. I was expecting them to look like us. They fired three shots. I fired 10 back.”

    Strange about Nariman house:
“The role that Nariman House is coming to play in this entire attack drama, is puzzling. Last night, residents ordered close to 100 kilograms of meat and other food, enough to feed an army or a bunch of people for twenty days. Shortly thereafter, the ten odd militants moved in, obviously, indicating that the food and meat was ordered, keeping their visit in mind, another cop added.”

    Not Pakistani:
“The young gunmen said little during the harrowing drive, but spoke Hindi with a strong Punjabi, north-Indian accent.”

I doubt they visited chishit dergha before embarking on their adventure, secondly these people LET are not sufi types but rather more akin to ideology prevalent in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan and north of Pakistan. Hindu extremist are known to have terrorized people in order to blame Muslims, this would not be the first. It is absolutely ridiculous not to find out who are they and what are their motives. I say let him be interrogated by UN or thrid party.

I noticed another object. A small devise, like a MP3 player, is attached on the right side of the
left shoe of the terrorist. This can be a tracking devise.

    1. If the terrrorist were trying to fool authorities, were they expecting local police to see their wrist-band from afar and say, “Hmmm, I think these are Hindu zealots, so maybe I should not shoot at them”. Or, were they expecting to be photographed with a Zoomed-lens with accuracy enough that the band will be visible ?
    2. Secondly, regarding the “fooling the authorities” theory, if the terrorist were expecting to be caught by the cops later; they should have known that by a simple physical exam a circumsised Muslim can be identified vis-a-vis a non-circumsised Hindu. So, why bother put on a saffron wrist-band for camouflaging ?
    3. Lastly, “Dargah-visiting” Sufi muslims are the staunchest opposers of all kinds of violence. The violent-kind derive their philosophy from Saudi-arabian based Wahabi-type extremism. Wahabi fundamentalists consider the “Dargah-visiting” Muslims as worse than non-Muslims :)

In a nut-shell, please open your eyes, and look for the culprits within your ranks …. otherwise they might hit us again and again and again …. and the indian media will keep barking at the wrong tree.

It’s called a false flag operation. 9/11 was an inside job, so was this attack, but it failed.
