Fantastic to hear that BarCampBrighton is back for the fourth time in the lovely seaside city on September 5th & 6th September, 2009. Once again it’s the weekend immediately after dConstruct. To be held in the heart of the city, the old Music Library on Church Street; currently an art gallery and somewhat down-at-heel, it’s the perfect Brighton venue.

Background

BarCampBrighton, the free-to-attend, non-profit, two-day conference for 150 developers, web geeks, designers, social software types, post-digital artisans, user experience wonks and any other niche specialism you care to imagine.

Run by volunteers for the local, national and international web and tech community, BarCampBrighton4 is looking for sponsors large and small and is an ideal way to get in touch with some really interesting people. The mix of attendees at BarCamp means there’s a breadth and depth of content and skills that you’ll rarely find anywhere else.

Community events like BarCamp, along with the smaller events run by the constituent groups that form the basis of many BarCamp attendees are the backbones of the web scene in many countries. Plans are plotted, code is written and friendships and alliances are formed.
