Whilst Twitter is growing day on day, people are discovering new ways to use it. Many organisations and individuals have signed up to Twitter to promote and collaborate but a report published by Pear Analytics suggests that 40.55% of tweets are actually just pointless babble.
Another interesting fact is that 5% of the Twitterers contribute to 75% of the conversation. The rest are way too lazy or inactive, referred to as lurkers in social media.
