YouTube, tool for talent spotting?

I’m impressed how YouTube is opening up opportunities for new talent like Ilana Yahav. Who knew that a sand artist from Israel would make it to the Twining Tea Commercial. There are thousands of examples of this sort of finds. Is YouTube opening doors to upcoming artists?
